“The quality of Chardonnay coming out of Orange continues to impress, the 2015 releases from Patina have some serious style and showcases quality fruit in the hands of a very talented winemaker.
“A heady nose of wood smoke, white peach and ripe fig that enjoys the trappings of vanillin oak.
“The concentration of the palate is immense, each individual component has impact, but they all come together in equal measure to give a complete experience; fruit is a combination of nectarine and white peach, acidity is taut but more than matched by creamy lees notes with oak provides both texture and generous cashew characters.
“The finish is bathed in stone fruits, nougat and oak spice. The wine the pedigree to cellar, but will continue to drink well along the way.”
