This is a lighter style than I normally produce as I wanted to mitigate the poor attributes of the season. It has a good acid balance making it bright and lively with a reasonably long finish.

The smokey year… I am quite pleased with the way this wine is drinking, considering how dry and smokey the year was. It took all my skill and then some to end up with a Chardonnay that tastes as pleasant as this from tainted fruit.
