It’s not easy stepping away from doing something you love… and I find it particularly difficult having just bottled one of the best Chardonnays of my career. But I am committed to starting the next phase of my life while I still have a few good years in me.
When I began Patina I didn’t have any big aspirations… I simply wanted to make the best wine I possibly could, and that kept my interest up and kept it fun… not to mention challenging.
I’ve thrived on the challenge of planning the vintage and making necessary changes along the way to suit the season. But I’m also looking forward to the next phase in life.
