04 Jun Patina News, Winter 2020
It’s June already and what a year! Just when we thought it couldn’t get worse… it did.
There’s heaps of bad stuff to write about but I think I’ll let you source news feeds for that. I’ll focus on some positives… I seem to have optimistic tendencies so it shouldn’t be too hard to scrape up a few positives. To begin with thanks for all your support, we’ve sent out many care-packs during this lock-down period which has kept sales ticking along. PATINA WINE CLUB CHANGES
Last year I introduced three new levels of Club membership… This has proven a bit of a logistical nightmare, so I am trimming it back to two options for new members
1/ Winemaker Select Dozen available as red, white or mixed carton options, or
2/ Choose Your Own half dozen.
These are both delivered twice yearly arriving in early June and December. The discounts are very attractive, 25% for the dozen and 10% for the half dozen.
I select the dozen and allow you to change up the mix if you wish.
The half dozen will be based on the wines you selected in your previous order, but you can select other current release wines if you let me know prior to dispatch.
Your Club discount applies to any wine you purchase through the year… read more
2016 Patina Reserve Chardonnay – 94 POINTS: “Remarkably youthful colour – palest yellow. Sulfides and stone fruits, citrus and toasty, savoury oak. A compelling bouquet. Loads of freshness on the palate – fruit is clean and perfectly ripe, a distinct Fuji apple fruit character kicks in as this warm in the glass. Not uncommon in chardonnay from Orange, though this is pronounced. A lovely drink.” The Real Review, Nick Butler
